Yankee Holler are an Albany-Based roots rock favorite.
Sharing their unique spin on rock covers and originals, Americana/roots rock band Yankee Holler consists of vocalist/guitarist Michael Dickerson, guitarist Matt Aumand, drummer John Docherty, and bassist Tom Ragoni. Their debut album, "Calm Can Kill," received excellent reviews from critics such as David Malachowski and airplay on stations like 88.3 WVCR & 97.7 WEXT. The band has appeared in WEXT's CRUMBS Cafe, Episode #224. Andrew Gregory named "Calm Can Kill" to his year-end list of the "Top Ten Local Releases." Their latest album is the EP "Folk Magic," which they released in November 2016. They specialize in both classic-sounding originals and beloved covers. Their mission: to highlight the heart, soul, wit, and grit that is inherent to roots music and that all too often gets left on the cutting room floor of recording studios.
